An Updated Team on River Grove’s Board of Directors
In April 2021, River Grove parent Bre DeCorsey stepped down from the River Grove Board of Directors. Physical education teacher Katie Bruns was appointed to the Board to take director DeCorsey’s place in April because she ran for board in the October 2020 election and was the next largest vote-getter after Annie Beck. In the May 2021 election, kindergarten teacher Jessica Hansen was re-elected, and parent/former PTO co-chair Katherine Hardie was elected to replace outgoing director Dan Miller.
At the July 2021 meeting, the board unanimously appointed new officers: Marcy Ost – Chair; Jessica Hansen – Vice Chair; Angie Hong – Secretary; Katherine Hardie – Treasurer.

Next Meeting: Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at 6:00 p.m.
The August 2021 meeting will be in-person in the Commons building on the River Grove campus. COVID-19 protocols will be discussed and may be voted on, with the understanding that the school may not have the authority to make decisions related to certain things like masks and other COVID safety measures if the state issues requirements.
