What is Distance Learning?
Due to efforts to contain the COVID-19 virus, the state of Minnesota has declared all schools implement “distance learning” beginning Monday, March 30 through Thursday, April 30.*
The goal of distance learning is to provide all students with opportunities to continue learning in their homes. Lessons will be designed with this unique situation in mind and will be distributed to families on a weekly basis.
Students will complete lessons each day from home, which they will find via our website. The younger grades will rely more on paper-and-pencil options and may have a few online assignments when appropriate, while the older grades will have some low-tech options and some options that will require internet access.
We know school cannot be replaced, especially when our amazing campus is such an integral part of our daily learning. At the same time, we hope these student-directed activities help keep the connection between home and school.
Distance Learning Handbook
The Distance Learning Handbook outlines the structure and expectations of our distance learning program. This handbook may be updated frequently.
Our teachers are using a variety of digital tools to communicate with families and students during this time. Please refer to these tutorials.
